Ashley Dixon and her husband are doing the best they can for their family, though times have been tough. In addition to their own kids, the couple now also cares for Ashley’s sister’s children. A recent fire damaged their home, forcing them to take shelter in a hotel. Making their struggle even more difficult, the couple can only find part-time work — even as their expenses increase. Although Ashley has been offered a full-time job, she needs to pass her GED test to qualify. Right now, she is saving her money for the test’s application fee.
YOU can help the Dixons, and other families right here in the Mobile area. Your gift right now will support The Salvation Army’s Neediest Families Campaign. Through your generosity, The Salvation Army will provide food, shelter, and other vital assistance to neighbors who are struggling. For the Dixons, that means help with the costs of sending their kids to school, catching up with bills, Christmas assistance for the little ones — and help so that Ashley can take her test and get her full-time job.
Please give hope to Ashley’s family — and others in need throughout our community. Your gift to the Neediest Families Campaign will help hardworking families make it through the storm. Thank you — and God bless you for your compassion!
Those who open their hearts with a gift of $100 or more will have their names printed in the Mobile Press-Register,
